When one has been abroad at small and large equestrian tournaments over many years, has made the acquaintance of well known riding personalities, has had the privilege to see renowned studs, courses and riding schools in many countries, received various suggestions at large riding fairs, then, one inevitably develops the desire to create something special.

In particular, if one has the luck to be allowed to maintain a wonderful family estate steeped in tradition. Thus the idea evolved to create an outstanding equestrian centre at Gut Ising on Lake Chiemsee, offering all areas of horse riding, training, care and competition. Whether in dressage, jumping or country cross, enthusiastic leisure riders as well as ambitious competition riders, will find optimal sporting possibilities with us.

Naturally we want to continue to offer what has always been integral to this historic Bavarian country house for many generations - genuine hospitality and a wide choice of options for people to enjoy themselves at Gut Ising.
